NAMM 2021 Officially Goes Virtual with ‘Believe in Music’ week starting Jan 18 2021

Like so many in-person activities, NAMM 2021 has announced that it is going to move to a virtual exhibition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which means VEX Stands will not be able to make its debut at the exhibition, and for that, we are truly bummed. The NAMM exhibition’s vibrance and energy have made it the premier venue for showcasing the newest and most innovative gear and equipment. VEX has been working overtime to get our V1 and V2 microphone stands ready for the world to see, and now we find ourselves, like so many others, unable to do so. But we won’t let this pandemic defeat us. We even developed the V2 desktop mic stand to allow home users professional-level gear, whether for work or school video conferencing, or to start a podcast or other home audio project.

The NAMM exhibition is the largest gathering of the $17 billion global muse-products industry. Following the news of the event, scheduled for January 18, 2021, in Anaheim, CA, NAMM announced they would pivot to a new event dubbed “Believe in Music.” This weeklong event aims to unify and support the people who bring music to the world, according to a NAMM statement. This event will still kick off on January 18, providing professional seminars, entertainment, and an interactive marketplace for producers and consumers.

NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond says ‘Believe in Music’ week will use new, intuitive technology to connect us all to harness the incredible energy that happens when we come together.” This statement resonates deeply at VEX as we believe in creating a universal connection between artists, performers, and audiences by harnessing the unique properties inherent in our patented Hexagonal design.

“With a robust marketplace to launch new products and share your brand story, ‘Believe in Music’ will also feature networking and matchmaking for our buyers and our sellers, education for all segments of the industry, and live music and concerts,” Lamond said. “And just like at all NAMM events, these activities will raise awareness and financial support to serve our NAMM family. ‘Believe in Music’ week will be a critical step for our industry to help us prepare for the new year and new opportunities.”

This is a defining moment for the music industry, and the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every aspect of live performance and recording. NAMM 2021 is no different, but one thing that’s not different is that adapting and evolving is critical. VEX won’t let this small set back keep us from creating the most thoughtful, over-designed microphone stands and cases and growing with artists and fans as we navigate the present and future. While none of us know how long the pandemic impacts will be felt, we know that staying healthy and safe is more important than anything else right now. Today, we’re grateful to be producing innovative equipment and pushing forward.
